Registration of Tax Agents
Through this service, the FTA registers tax agents.
e-Services platform:
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
AED 3,000.
45 Minutes.
20 business days from the date the completed application was received.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in tax, accounting, or law from a recognized educational institution.
  • In case the abovementioned certificate is not available, a Bachelor’s Degree in any field, in addition to a recognized certificate from an international specialized tax institute.
  • PwC VAT Diploma Certificate.
  • Police Certificate of Good Conduct.
  • Medical report proving that the person is fit to perform their job as a tax agent.
  • Arabic and English proficiency certificates.
  • Certificate of relevant recent experience of at least three years, in either tax, qualified accounting or law.

  1. Sign-up for a tax agent e-Services account through the FTA’s website and activate it.
  2. Access the e-Services account dashboard.
  3. Click on “Register as Tax Agent”.
  4. Complete the registration process.

1. How can the tax agent’s details be amended after registration?

Amendments to a tax agent’s details can be done through the relevant service, accessible clicking here.

2. If applicant is registered for VAT with the FTA, can it use the same e-Services account to register as a tax agent?

The applicant must create a new separate e-Services account to register as a tax agent.

  1. The applicant must meet all of the requirements under Article 10 of Cabinet Decision No. 36 of 2017 on the Executive Regulation of Federal Law No. 7 of 2017 on Tax Procedures and its amendments, which can be viewed by clicking here.
  2. After registration, the tax agent is required to link to a registered tax agency before they are allowed to practice as a tax agent.
  3. Registered tax agents are not employees of the FTA and must not promote themselves in such capacity.
